Grilled Scallops with sesame

I N G R E D I E N T S | 4 Persons                       

  • 12 Scallops
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seed oil
  • 1,5 tablespoon olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon roasted sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon chopped chives

D I R E C T I O N S

  1. Combine together the sesame seed oil and sea salt in a small serving dish
  2. Pat scallops dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper. Heat remaining olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and cook until golden brown and firm to the touch, about 2-3 minutes per Be sure not to overcook the scallops.
  3. Then add in the garlic and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  4. Grill for another 10 seconds, just to allow all the flavours to come together, making sure the garlic does not burn. Then remove from the heat.
  5. Serve immediately with the sesame seeds and chives scattered over and the sesame salt on the side to dip into.
